need to pull myself up

I came to India on a trip for my sisters wedding. its so exciting cause i can get to try all the fruits which i don't normally get back in USA. lots of coconuts, seetaphal, mosambi, chiku (sapota) mmmm

anyways i am unable to stay as much raw as i thought i would like to stay, with so many occasions and gatherings that i am being a part of and also i was being on the road so much, that it was hard for me to make a meal and take it with me. almost everyday I used to wake up in the morning go out and i only come back late in the night after a hectic day of wedding activities.

to sum it up: lot of traveling etc, lack of my raw equipment, get together's and parties etc made it difficult for me to stay raw. now that the wedding is over, i am able to relax. but still, i don't have a good juicer or my vitamix to make green smoothies or juices, also not much of an access to lettuce/ greens for making good salads, even if i have other ingredients like cucumber/ tomatoes i don't have a good dressing for them. i still have 2 weeks of my vacation here in India and i want to use as much as i can to benefit from eating the local produce. even with all this chaos, i managed to stay 50% raw with fruits and juices. but the other 50% had a mix of unhealthy foods. its just been 2 weeks i came and i already noticed a difference in my energy levels going down due to my new eating habits.

I believe even if you are not able to stay 100% raw, the other non raw meals should be steamed/ lightly cooked so that the nutrients are still there. and avoid the typical unhealthy, deep fried, broiled, oily foods

So for the next 2 weeks of my vacation i need to make a change.
I went and bought a sprout machine. so now at least i can pack some sprouts with me when i go out. I have also decided to eat as many fruits as possible (my major raw sources for now). If i crave for juices i will have coconut or mosambi juice. for the cooked food part i will try to have steamed/ slow cooked food. This way i am not making my poor body stressed out.
I need to come up with some creative recipes to have veggis and salads with local produce.

On a side note: I had a blast with the whole wedding episode and i love India!!! Its so exciting to see my darling little sister get married. So many beautiful clothes to try, food to eat and exciting people to meet :)
